The sister of a man left with a bleed on the brain after a late night attack in Portadown has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Shannon Watson said her brother was viciously beaten in the Market Street area of the town during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Posting on social media, Shannon pleaded to anyone who may have been in the vicinity, or knows anything about the assailants, to come forward.
“If anyone saw an attack happening in town between two white males and seven black males, outside Castle Hardware around 1.45am – 2am, please mail us and tell us exactly what you saw so it can be given to the police.
“My brother is under going CT scans to see what damage was done and the other has been left with injuries.
“Please tell us if you seen anything no matter how small, justice needs done; too many people getting away with things nowadays.”
Updating the post, Shannon confirmed that her brother has suffered a bleed on the brain, fractured skull and a possible broken jaw.
Lord Mayor, Alderman Glenn Barr, has also appealed for witnesses to come forward.
“Thoughts and prayers are with this young man who was attacked in Portadown,” he wrote.
“If anyone has any information please report to PSNI on 101 or through your public representatives.”
