Searches on Garvaghy Road after police receive report of device left in the area

Police advise public not to touch any suspicious objects

Police have conducted searches in the Garvaghy Road area of Portadown this evening (Thursday).

It comes after a telephone call, claiming that a device had been left in the area, was passed on to police.

Police later said nothing was found during those searches.

However, they are appealing to anyone who notices any suspicious objects not to touch them but to contact police immediately by calling 999 and quoting reference number 901 06/06/19.
