Portadown man admits importing and being concerned in supply of drugs

A Portadown man has admitted to importing cannabis and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

Jake Hill, of Deramore Drive – appearing at Craigavon Crown Court on Tuesday for an arraignment hearing – pleaded guilty to eight offences committed on dates between March 21 and July 3, 2023.

The offences include importing a controlled drug (cannabis), attempted possession of a Class B controlled drug; possession of Class A controlled drugs (cocaine); possessing Class B controlled drug, possession of Class C controlled drug (Diazepam); possessing criminal property (£1,660 in cash); being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug; and being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.

The 24-year-old simply replied “guilty” to all eight counts as they were individually read to him.

Hill was released on continuing bail and advised to co-operate with the Probation Service ahead of his sentencing on Friday, September 20.
