Portadown man accused of stealing over £1,000 worth of goods has case sent to Crown Court

A Portadown man accused of stealing over £1,000 worth of goods in an alleged shoplifting blitz has had his case sent to the Crown Court.

Brian Paul Ward (33), of Garvaghy Park, is charged in relation to a five day period in October last year.

Items were allegedly taken at Lidl, B&M Bargains, Boots and Tesco in Portadown and items stolen included a Dyson Air device; a log fire heater, dishwater tablets, washing pods and washing liquid.

At Friday’s Craigavon Magistrates’ Court the defendant was further remanded in custody and the case was sent to the Crown Court for arraignment on June 13.
