Police keen to identify man as part of probe into attacks on police in Portadown

Police have issued an appeal to the public as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of disorder incidents and assaults on officers in the Portadown area since June.

An image has been released of an individual detectives would like to speak with in connection to events dating back to June 12.

The PSNI is urging this person to come forward and is also calling on the public for assistance in identifying them.

A police spokesperson said: “We would like to speak with the individual pictured as part of our ongoing investigation into a number of incidents of disorder and attacks on police officers in the Portadown area. We are asking this person to come forward to police, or for anyone who may be able to help identify them.”

Members of the public who have relevant information, or who may have captured footage of the incidents, are encouraged to assist the investigation. Police are particularly interested in CCTV, mobile phone, or dash cam footage from the area.
