Police cordon off area after reports of stabbing incident in Portadown

There are unconfirmed reports of two young males being stabbed in Portadown this evening (Friday).

Paramedics were called to the scene of an incident in the Ballyoran Park area of the town, just off the Garvaghy Road.

Police cordoned off the area just after 8pm tonight.

The ambulance service have confirmed at least one stabbing in the area.

A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said: “We got a report that one person was stabbed and was taken to Craigavon Area Hospital just after eight.”

There are no further details at this stage. Updates to follow as they become available.
