Man in hospital with ‘serious injuries’ following scrambler incident in Portadown

Police are appealing for witnesses after an early morning scrambler incident in Portadown left one man in hospital with serious injuries.

Police received a report of a collision involving a scrambler in the Churchill Park area of Portadown at approximately 5.10am on Monday April 21.

It was reported the rider collided with a stationary van in the area. Officers attended, alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

The rider, a man aged in his 30s, was transported to hospital for treatment to his injuries, believed to be serious at this time. No other injuries were reported.

It is understood that he suffered injuries to his head, face, legs and pelvis.

Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision. Anyone who witnessed what happened or who has CCTV, dash-cam or other footage is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference number 248 21/04/25.
