
A man accused of going equipped for theft with a pair of pliers, gloves and a kitchen knife has been banned from entering Portadown as part of bail conditions.
Caoimhin Gallagher (33), of Edward Street in the town, is alleged to have committed offences on February 21 this year.
He is also charged with burglary of a house at Ballyoran Park in Portadown with intent to steal; taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent; aggravated taking and causing damage to a vehicle; and allowing himself to be carried in the vehicle.
Bail in the sum of £300 was agreed at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court to an address to be approved by police with conditions not to enter Portadown; there is a 10pm-7am curfew when he is electronically tagged; he is not possess or consume alcohol; and he is not to enter any vehicle save as a fee-paying passenger.
The case was adjourned to June 13.
