A man is to appear in court this morning (Thursday) following the seizure of a substantial amount of suspected heroin in Portadown.
Police have charged a 53-year-old man with possession of a class A drug, possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and possession of a class C drug.
He is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court.
As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
The charges follow the search of a house in the Park Road area of Portadown on Wednesday 28th April, in which a substantial amount of suspected heroin was recovered.
Meanwhile, Police in Banbridge have charged a 32 year old man with acting as a pedlar without a certificate and using a motor vehicle without insurance and a 49 year old man with attempted theft and criminal damage. Both men are due to appear at Banbridge Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 20th May.
As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
The charges follow reports of cold calling in the Dromore area on Wednesday 28th April.
