Police have launched an appeal for information after a plaque was stolen from a grave in a Portadown cemetery over the weekend.
The theft occurred in Kernan Cemetery at some time between 12pm on Saturday (August 5) and 10am on Sunday (August 6).
The plaque featured a picture of a robin with the words “Those we love don’t go away, they appear beside us every day”.
A spokesperson for the PSNI described the plaque as “highly sentimental” to the family, adding that they would be “forever grateful to have the item returned”.
They added: “If anyone has any information please contact police on 101 and quote reference 560 of 07/08/2023.”
