High Street Mall in Portadown

High Street Mall in Portadown has gone on the market for a cool £2 million – at least!

The centre, which welcomed Lidl as its anchor tenant in 2021, underwent significant redevelopment and remodelling in recent years. It also has a co-anchor of B&M Bargains.

Other key retailers within the scheme include Home Bargains, Superdrug, Caffe Nero, Holland & Barrett, Greggs, The Works, Peacocks and Gordons Chemist.

Selling agents Cushman and Wakefield described the town centre site as “highly prominent” which takes in a total gross income of £252,000 per annum.

They are seeking offers in excess of £2,000,000 for the site which also boasts over 500 onsite car parking spaces.

A brochure describes Portadown as a bustling market town located served by an excellent bus, rail and road network and is strategically positioned just off the M1 motorway.

It is the latest shopping centre to go on the market after Rushmere Shopping Centre was snapped up for a whopping £46.5m – £10m below its original asking price.

It was eventually bought by Killahoey Ltd in February 2023, a joint venture between Northern Ireland-based companies Sheephaven and May Street Capital, involving DV8 owner Ian McMahon.
