
Portadown’s KFC premises is to go under the hammer in a property auction in April – alongside seven other properties belonging to the franchise across Northern Ireland.
The Portadown premises on Bridge Street is currently let to the famous fried-chicken outlet at £38,090 per annum with the lease not set to expire until 2036.
For sale under auction by estate agents Osbourne King the outlet – famed for chicken coated in the Colonel’s secret recipe – is described as a “prominent drive thru and restaurant” presenting an “excellent investment opportunity”.
The purpose built single storey standalone unit has been fitted in KFC corporate style incorporating food preparation, servery, customer seating and ancilliary areas with on site car parking provided.
The auction is due to take place on April 16, with the 2,321 sqft Portadown property sold as Lot 11 at a guide price of £475,000.
Alongside the Portadown site, seven additional KFC premises are also up for grabs across Northern Ireland including the Shaftesbury Square branch in Belfast; Main Street, Newcastle; Magherafelt Road Castledawson; Harbour Estate, Larne; Upper Lisburn Road, Finaghy; Wellington Road, Enniskillen and Hanover Place, Coleraine.
