The countdown to the magical festive season gets underway this November at the fantastic Christmas lights switch on in Portadown!
The merriment commences on Thursday 26th November from 5.30pm – 7.30pm, with a brilliant line-up of fun-filled entertainment to welcome the yuletide season to town!
Compered by well-known TV personality Frank Mitchell (who predicts cool but crisp weather conditions on the night!), local singing sensation Emma Horan will be taking to the stage to perform an enchanting rendition of ‘This Town’s Moving On’ which she recently recorded for the opening of the Peoples Park as well as more festive songs to get you into the spirit of the season!
The fun doesn’t stop there – don’t miss out on sparkling dance performances from the Pamela Cassells School of Performance & FADD studios plus captivating carols from a joint Primary School choir with pupils from Millington & Richmount Primary Schools.
One extra special guest making an appearance is none other than Santa Claus, arriving in style behind a forest themed procession from Millennium Court Arts Centre to help the Lord Mayor of Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Darryn Causby switch on the lights! Then finish the night in style with a live performance from the Soul Truth Band featuring Amanda St John who will be belting out some fabulous contemporary blues, soul and funk tunes!
