The countdown is on to the opening of a special exhibition to mark 100 years of Remembrance in Portadown.
Hosting ‘A Centenary of Remembrance: Every stitch has a story’, Thomas Street Methodist Church has joined forces with Portadown Branch of the Royal British Legion (RBY) to produce the exhibition in honour of the 100th year since the erection of the town’s War Memorial.
Each day from November 3 – 7 between 11am and 12.30pm and 7pm to 8pm an exhibition will be put on public display at Thomas Street Methodist Church.
The exhibition is donation only with funds raised going towards Portadown Poppy Appeal.
Thomas Street Methodist Church have also organised a Remembrance Concert featuring NI Military Wives Choir, The Swing Gals and Flute Band Church on Saturday November 8, at 7pm.

Portadown Poppy Appeal Shop has a new location this year, in the shop unit next door to the RBL Building located in Thomas Street.
The Poppy shop will remain open from Monday October 27 until Saturday November 8, from 10am – 5pm. Closed Sundays.
