A man is to appear in court after the alleged assault of Translink staff at Portadown Train Station.
On the evening of Wednesday, April 10, police attended a report of an intoxicated male at the station, who is alleged to have assaulted staff and threatened them with a razor blade.
A 25-year-old man was arrested for disorderly behaviour, three counts of common assault, criminal damage and possession of a blade or point in a public place.
He was charged to court and remanded in custody, due to appear in court at the end of April.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “We thank Trankslink for their continued efforts in providing an essential public transport service. Staff at Translink have the right to work without fear of being attacked and abused.
“The Police Service of Northern Ireland continues to work alongside Translink to ensure any offenders are dealt with swiftly and effectively.”
