
Police have confirmed a child pedestrian was taken to hospital after a car collided with a shop in Portadown town centre on Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred in the High Street area – outside JR McMahon’s menswear shop – shortly after 2.45pm (September 22).
The child, who had been walking in the area, was taken to hospital “as a precaution”.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a collision in the High Street area of Portadown just after 2.45pm on Monday, 22nd September. A child, a pedestrian in the area, has been brought to hospital as a precaution but at this stage, it isn’t believed that anyone has been seriously injured.”
Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
