Detectives in Newry have charged a 20-year-old man with two counts of attempted murder.
He also faces charges of kidnap, possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and a number of drugs offences.
He is due to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday, October 24.
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
The charges are believed to relate to two shooting incidents in Newry on Thursday, September 17, and the search of a property at Churchill Park in Portadown on Tuesday, October 20.
