
A fire which broke out at a derelict residential property in Portadown has been handed over to the police for investigation.
A total of five appliances from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) attended the scene of the fire on Clonavon Avenue today (July 23) just before 12.30pm.

An aerial appliance from Knock Fire Station also attended the incident and the access road to Clonavon Avenue was subsequently closed to allow emergency services to deal with the blaze.
A spokesperson for NIFRS said: “Firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a derelict terraced house on Clonavon Avenue, Portadown.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used four hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
“The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and the scene was handed over to the PSNI. The incident was dealt with by 3.40pm.”
