Boy (12) taken to hospital after being struck by car in Portadown

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident on the Garvaghy Road to come forward

Police have appealed for information after a child was struck by a vehicle in Portadown.

The incident happened at around 5pm yesterday (Saturday).

The child – a 12-year-old boy – was struck by a blue car in the Garvaghy Road area, near the lights at Rose Cottages.

A PSNI spokesperson told Armagh I : “He was treated in hospital for a broken wrist.”

Police are  appealing for witnesses.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information or dash-cam footage should get in touch with police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 805 of 20/06/21.
