Emergency services are currently at the scene of a sudden death in Portadown.
It is understood a young person’s body was recovered from the River Bann around lunch time on Saturday (June 24).
A police spokesperson told Armagh I: “Police attended a report of a sudden death at the Bridge Street area of Portadown. Enquiries are continuing and there are no further details at this time.”
A cordon has been put in place between Bridge Street – overlooking the river and People’s Park.
The coastguard and ambulance service are also in attendance at the scene.
There are no further details at this stage, however, this story will be updated as and when more information is released.
