Appeal for witnesses after elderly man injured in hit and run

Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly man was injured in a hit and run in Portadown.

The incident happened on Mandeville Street around 6:45pm on Thursday, June 14.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “We’re investigating a hit and run when pedestrian leaving Sean Grahams bookies was hit by a reversing car which then drove off.

“The victim is an elderly gent who sustained minor injuries.

“We believe there were several passers by who witnessed this.

“If anyone can assist us with any details of the vehicle, even make, model or colour, that would be much appreciated.

“Equally, if you were the driver, please get in touch with us. Once we get any sort of info about your car, which we’re confident we will, it should be fairly straight forward to find out exactly who you are.

“The incident number is 1366 of 16/06/18.”
