A group of young boys put their lives in danger on Saturday after running across the busy A1 on Saturday.
Police in Banbridge are now warning the public of the dangers of young people playing on or near roads.
On Saturday, March 21, police received a report of up to 12 young boys running across the A1 and dodging traffic.
Inspector Nigel Graham said: “Not only are these young people taking risks with their own safety, but they are also endangering the lives of all road users. It is foolhardy in the extreme to take a chance on hurting yourself or someone else.
“I would ask all parents to speak to their children and warn them of the dangers involved in this behaviour.
“If you witness this behaviour, please contact us immediately on 101.”
