Police searching for van driver after suspicious approach to boy (11)

Police in Armagh are appealing for information following the report of a suspicious approach to an 11-year-old boy in the Milford area this afternoon (Sunday).

The incident happened at Anne Street at around 1.50pm.

The child had been in the area when a white van pulled up  and the driver, a man with white hair, spoke to him.

The boy ran away and the man made off in the Armagh direction.

Inspector Nigel Henry appealed for information.

He told Armagh I: “I would ask the driver of the van or anyone who witnessed this incident to contact us at Armagh Police Station on the non  emergency number 101.”
