Police renew fatal crash appeal

POLICE in Armagh have reissued their appeal for information into a fatal road traffic accident earlier this month.

The accident, on the Tandragee Road, Poyntzpass, involved a red Opel van and a silver Citroen Xantia, and it happened at around 5.45pm on Thursday, February 7.

Sixty-five-year-old John Hillis – a former DUP councillor who lived in Poyntzpass – died as a result of the collision.

Today, (Wednesday), police again appealed for witnesses – or anyone who has any information –  to come forward. They can be contacted on Armagh 0845 600 8000.
