Police appeal over theft of van in Lurgan

Police in Lurgan are appealing for information following the theft of a van from the Cornakinnegar Road area on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 19.

A white Transit van was stolen at approximately 2.30pm. The van was fitted with a global positioning system (GPS) and was therefore recovered in the Drumnamoe Gardens area just before 4pm.

Constable Kris King said: “A man was seen getting out of the van and into a waiting black estate car. He is described as being of medium build, aged in his 20s, with dark hair and was wearing a high visibility jacket.

“Iwould ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact Lurgan Polcie Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
