Police want to speak to two men in a BMW car who approached two young girls in the Newry area.
The incident happened on Thursday of last week in the Violent Hill area.
The matter had been reported and police have confirmed they are investigating and have made an appeal for information from the public yesterday (Thursday).
Constable Tim Coombs said: “It was reported to police that at around 7pm, two young girls were approached by two men who were travelling in a silver coloured BMW car and were given flowers by the men to give to their mother.
“The girls made off and reported the incident.”
Constable Coombs continued: “ We are keen to speak with the occupants of this vehicle or anyone who may have noticed a silver BMW being driven in the area at this time.
“Anyone with information should contact police in Ardmore on 101 quoting reference number 1014260215. Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
