The Extra Mile: Employee Endeavor Award (sponsored by JD Hunter & Co Supermarket)
This award is to recognise an individual who, through their dedication to their role within a business, has demonstrated drive and passion.
Chris McClure, store manager of JD Hunter & Co, said: “We at JD Hunter & Co are honoured to be associated with the Armagh I People of the Year Awards, this is the second year we have been involved. Last year’s event was a huge success and seeing all the worthy finalists on the night was very heart-warming and we’re looking forward to seeing so many again this year.”
This category is open to all roles within any business. Nominees will be judged against the following criteria:
(a) How they have worked above and beyond the remit of their role to show enthusiasm and passion for their company.
(b) How inspirational and original their ideas are and the impact of these ideas on the success of the business.
(c) How they have demonstrated their ability as an ‘out-of-the-box thinker’ to help attract public interest to their company.
(d) Their engagement with colleagues and members of the public, ability to network and work as part of a team and interact with people on a level which stands them apart from their peers.
Please note that only the information you submit can be considered when shortlisting, vague nominations may not be shortlisted.
To give your nomination the best chance, please include as much detail as possible about their work.
The shortlisting panel will not be able to consider information already in the public domain or prior knowledge of the individual.
Finalists will be announced on December 14, when public voting for those finalists will also open, with public voting closing on December 28, 2022.
The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony in Armagh Observatory and Planetarium hosted by Northern Ireland’s very own weatherman Barra Best on February 2, 2023
