POLICE in Armagh have arrested two men on drugs charges.
Officers on patrol observed a white van swerving and driving slowly on Monaghan Road during the early hours of Friday, 26 April. The vehicle was stopped and a preliminary fit test carried out. The 43 year old was subsequently arrested for driving whilst unfit through drugs.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and recovered a quantity of white powder, suspected Class A drugs. The 43 year old man was further arrested for possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
The 29 year old male passenger of the vehicle was also arrested for possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
Both men are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
