Paint thrown over car and house in suspected ‘hate crime’

Police in Armagh are investigating the report of criminal damage to a house and car in the Barrack Hill area of Armagh.

Sergeant Gavin McComiskey said: “A report was received that white paint had been thrown over a parked car and the front window of a house between Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January.

“We are treating this incident as a hate crime and I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact police in Armagh on 101 quoting reference number 17250115. Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

Police in Craigavon are also appealing for information following the report of a burglary at a garage to the rear of a house at Highfield Park on Friday 16 January.

Constable Jamie Donaghy said: “ The garage is believed to have been entered sometime between 1pm and 3pm on Friday, 16 January and a Mikati power drill in a green case taken. I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area on that day to contact officers in Craigavon on 101 quoting reference number 826190115. Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
