Crowds of youngsters gather for organised fights in Lurgan estate

Around 100-150 youngsters from across the Craigavon area gathered last week to watch organised fights in the Kilwilke estate in Lurgan.

There has been a number of such gatherings, involving males and females as a result of an incident which occurred in and around Halloween.

Neighbourhood police officers, community representatives, local schools and youth providers in the area are appealing to parents to dissuade young people from participating or gathering to watch such activities, as the potential for serious injury or fatal consequences is inevitable.

Where Criminal offences are committed or detected those young persons involved will end up with criminal records.
