Three more deaths confirmed in Northern Ireland as result of Covid-19

Figures revealed as Archbishop-elect of Armagh offers prayers for Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his partner and unborn child

There have been three more deaths of patients in Northern Ireland as a result of Covid-19.

And there have been 97 more confirmed cases.

These are the latest figures made available on Tuesday by the Public Health Agency.

There have now been a total of 1,255 confirmed cases in Northern Ireland.

And 73 people have sadly died.

Currently, 120 people have tested positive in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon area, while there has been 80 in the Newry, Mourne and Down area.

Of 72 deaths with data, the median age was 81 years old of which 38 (52%) were female and 34 (47%) were male.

The latest figures here comes as prayers were being offered in Armagh for Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who remains in intensive care.

The Archbishop–elect of Armagh and Bishop of Clogher, the Rt Revd John McDowell, remembered Mr Johnson in an audio prayer shared online.

Bishop McDowell remarked: “We pray this morning especially for Boris Johnson and his partner, Carrie Symonds, and the child that she carries. We pray that they would be safe in your hands.”
