Three further Covid-related deaths in 24 hours with three ICU beds available in NI

There have been three further Covid-related deaths reported in Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours.

One of these occurred in the in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough.

According to the official dashboard there were a further 1,600 – up 127 on yesterday– positive cases reported in the last 24 hours with 167 in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon. There were 182 in Newry, Mourne and Down while Mid-Ulster District recorded 156. Belfast had 363 cases in the last 24 hours.

A total of 5,216 individuals were tested in that time.

There are 244 – an increase of 1 on Tuesday – people in hospitals across Northern Ireland as a result of the virus, 32 – up three – of whom are in an intensive care unit.

There are 42 – up four since Tuesday – Covid patients in the Southern Trust area, 31 of whom are in Craigavon Area Hospital. There are 10 patients in Daisy Hill. The other is in St Luke’s Armagh.

There are currently three- half that of yesterday- ICU beds available in Northern Ireland.

The Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area accounts for 289 deaths overall. Newry, Mourne and Down District accounts for 169 deaths while Mid-Ulster has registered 207 deaths.
