Seven further Covid-related deaths in NI with slight decrease in hospital numbers

There have been seven further Covid-related deaths reported by the Department of Health today (Wednesday).

Four of these occurred in the last 24 hours, with three outside that timeframe – according to the official dashboard – which has the overall total now at 954.

There have been no further deaths in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon borough, where the total number of lives lost to date remains at 103. There has been one further death in the Newry, Mourne and Down district, where the total now stands at 60.

There were a further 533 cases reported* in that timeframe, with 73 in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon and a further 33 in Newry, Mourne and Down.

A total of 3,495 individuals were tested.

There are 443 people now in hospital – that’s two less than yesterday – as a result of the virus, 36 of whom are in intensive care units – down one from yesterday.

There are currently 31 ICU beds available in NI – five more than yesterday.

Fifty-four patients are in Craigavon today – down four. To date, 587 patients have been discharged from the Co. Armagh hospital.

There are six Covid patients in Daisy Hill, with 14 in Lurgan Hospital.

*This is higher than normal due to an issue with the flow of data, these numbers include tests completed between midday on November 23 and midnight on November 25
