Up to six members of one family could finally be allowed to meet indoors

There has been no new Covid-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the Department of Health.

It means the death toll remains at 545.

There has been one new case of the coronavirus, meaning 4,871 have tested positive since the beginning of the outbreak.

Meanwhile, Stormont is expected to give the go-ahead for up to six members of a family to meet indoors for the first time since lockdown measures were put in place.

Under current guideline, people are allowed to gather outside in groups of up to 10.

It had been part of the government’s first phase of a five-step recovery plan but the medical and scientific advice warned against allowing extended family members from meeting indoors.
