Mother’s heartbreaking message as little May Rose loses brave battle for life

May Rose defied the doctors for so long, putting up an amazing fight

A heartbroken young county Armagh mum confirmed this morning that her brave little daughter passed away after “one hell of a fight”.

Analee Gibney, 24, confirmed the sad news on the ‘May Rose Gibney’s Journey’ Facebook page.

May Rose battled a rare brain condition called Encephalocele, a form of Spina bifida, for more than six months, defying doctors and specialists alike with her fight.

Posting on Facebook, mum Analee called, said May Rose made her a better person.

“It’s with a very heavy heartbroken ripped apart heart I write this status,” she said.

“After 9 months of pregnancy and 6 months 3weeks and 1day of life my precious wee angel lost her battle and gained her beautiful angel wings ????????????.”

“After being sent home from the hospital AGAIN, may Rose passed away within 15 minutes of getting home ????????.

“May Rose fought with every bit of her body to make it this far.

“She put up one hell of a fight and I’m so proud of her.

“You made me a better person May Rose, your my hero! I’ll miss you always my wee princess, sleeptight mamasgirl ????.. I love you May Rose ????.”
