A woman accused of breaching a lifetime ban on reporting the identity of victims in the case involving Jeffrey and Eleanor Donaldson has been charged to court.
Detectives from Newry Criminal Investigation Department (CID) investigating the breach of anonymity concerning the recent high-profile court case have confirmed the woman will appear in court next month.
The 55-year-old was arrested in the Ballynahinch area on Tuesday, July 28, and has been charged with a breach of a lifetime ban on reporting the identity of alleged victim/s.
She is due to appear before Downpatrick Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 24.
As is usual procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Detectives would take this opportunity to remind people that naming or alluding to victims in cases such as this, may result in arrest, and subsequent charge to court.
