Traffic in the centre of Newry is at a standstill as police deal with a loose stag.
Police said the animal is in the St Patrick’s Avenue area of the city.
They are advising the public not to use the steps between St Patrick’s Avenue and Water Street.
A spokesperson added: “Police are liaising with the appropriate authorities on how to safely approach and treat the stag and are warning the public not to approach this animal.”
