Three men found with injuries after ‘serious altercation’ at flat in Warrenpoint

Three men, aged 24, 30 and 40, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm

Detectives are appealing for information following the report of what has been described as a “serious altercation” in the Rath Cuain area of Warrenpoint, on Friday.

Police received a report of a disturbance at a flat in the area at around 1pm on Friday afternoon and upon arrival at the scene found three males with a number of injuries.

Three men, aged 24, 30 and 40, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

All have now been freed on bail pending further police enquiries.

An investigation is underway into the circumstances of the incident and detectives would ask anyone with information including dash-cam, mobile or CCTV footage of the area, or who may have witnessed the incident, to contact them at Ardmore on 101, quoting reference number 858/02/24.
