Stolen Landcruiser was involved in collision with school bus near Silverbridge

The vehicle had been stolen along with cattle and a cattle trailer from a property in Jonesborough

On Tuesday (April 28) Police in south Armagh where alerted by a member of the public that their Toyota Landcruiser, cattle trailer and cattle had been stolen from a property in Jonesborough.

Local Slieve Gullion Neighbourhood Policing Team along with assistance from A Section local police team, Ardmore responded quickly to the incident.

A short time later they located the stolen Landcruiser. It had been involved in a road traffic collision with a children’s school bus in the Silverbridge area.

A short distance away from the road traffic collision, the cattle trailer and cattle were located.

Slieve Gullion NPT located and arrested a male suspect for a number of motoring offences.

Earlier in the day, another vehicle which was involved in the theft of the Toyota Landcruiser was subsequently seized in the Newtownhamilton area.
