The A2 outside Newry has been closed due to a road traffic collision.
Emergency services are at the scene and the road towards Warrenpoint has been closed.
The collision has happened at the junction of the Old Warrenpoint Road.
Motorists are being advised to use an alternative route.
Local SDLP representative Karen McKevitt has described it as a “very serious” accident.
