The Tandragee Road from Newry has been closed due to a road traffic collision.
The road has been closed between Jerrettspass and Poyntzpass, according to the PSNI in Newry and Mourne.
NI Ambulance Service are on the scene of the collision, which happened just after 7pm.
Motorists are being asked to seek an alternative route.
Police say the road will remain closed for some time.
Diversions are in place at the Carnbane Roundabout, Ashtree Hill and the Drumbanagher Wall Road.
There are no further details at present.
