Police are hunting a robber who threatened a shop worker with a knife in Newry last night (Saturday).
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after the incident in the Abbey Yard area.
It was reported that at approximately 8.30pm a man carrying a knife, entered a shop in the area and threatened a member of staff before making off with a sum of cash from the till.
He is described as being aged in his late 20s and was wearing light grey track bottoms and a light grey hooded top.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact them at Ardmore Police Station on 101.
Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
