Police ‘calling card’ as drugs seized and man arrested in house search

A man has been arrested after the seizure of suspected heroin today.

Tactical Support Group officers in Newry and Mourne made the arrest after searching a property in Drumalane under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

After searching the occupant officers recovered a quantity of suspected heroin secreted on his person.

A laptop and mobile phone were also seized rom the property.

The 47-year-0ld was arrested for possession of Class A drugs.

“This is not a calling card we want to leave with anyone so please, stay away from drugs and keep safe!,” the police advised.
