Cash stolen after Newry home ‘ransacked’

A quantity of cash was stolen after a property in Newry was ransacked at some point over the course of yesterday (Tuesday), police have confirmed.

Detectives are appealing for information following the burglary which occurred in the John Martin Street area of the city.

At some point between the hours of 8am and 7pm on Tuesday, entry was reported to have been gained to the residential property.

It was further confirmed that a quantity of cash was taken and the property was ransacked during the incident.

Enquiries are continuing and anyone with any information in relation to this incident is asked to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1620 30/11/21.
