Officers injured as two people ram police car before making off on foot across border

Car was abandoned at the border

Two people were arrested after ramming a police car and making off on foot across the border.

Police in south Armagh received a report of a silver Audi A3 car being driven dangerously in the Jonesborough area on the evening of Sunday, June 4.

Officers attended, and whilst patrolling in the area, the vehicle they were travelling in was rammed by a silver Skoda car.

The Skoda made off to the border where it was abandoned.

Two people made off from the car on foot and were apprehended by Garda officers in relation to motoring offences committed south of the border.

Two PSNI officers were injured as a result of the incident.
