UPDATE: The Belfast Road, Newry has reopened following an earlier two vehicle road traffic collision this morning (Tuesday 10th May).
Emergency services are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision in Newry this afternoon (Tuesday).
Police are advising that the Belfast Road is closed in both directions following the two vehicle collision this morning.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes for their journey.
