Creeper burglars make off with BMW and Mercedes overnight

Two luxury cars have been stolen in an overnight creeper burglary.

The vehicles – a BMW and a Mercedes – were taken from a house on the Armagh Road, Newry.

The owners woke this morning to find that their home had been broken into during the middle of the night and the vehicles were gone.luxury car 1

The white BMW had the registration number GFZ 77, while the grey Mercedes has the registration GFZ 777.

The vehicles are the latest in a long list to be stolen by creeper burglars across the area.

Their theft came just hours after the PSNI in Newry and Mourne warned residents to be “extra vigilant” against burglars.

Inspector Lorraine Dobson asked residents to make sure that windows and doors are properly locked and valuables, including car keys, are kept out of sight.

She said: “Putting vehicles in a garage is a good deterrent so if this is an option residents are encouraged to use it.

“South Armagh has a strong sense of community so please remain alert to suspicious activity in your local neighbourhood and be mindful of older and more vulnerable residents. If you see anything which doesn’t feel right please pick up the phone and contact us on 101.”

If anyone has information on this latest burglary please comment below, PM us or contact the PSNI on the non-emergency number 101.
