Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a report of a burglary at a house in the Tierny Road area of Newry on Wednesday, February 11.
Detective Sergeant Johnston said: “It was reported that entry was gained to the property at around 10.30pm whilst the female occupant was in bed.
“The following morning, it was discovered that a window was ajar and a number of interior doors were open, and that some wine was missing from a bottle.
“It is not believed at this stage that anything has been taken from the property.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident, and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time, or who has any information which might assist, to get in touch.
