Detectives are appealing for information following the report of an attempted theft from an ATM machine at Upper Dromore Road, Warrenpoint, on Tuesday, December 9.
At around 2am, police received a report that an attempt had been made to gain access to the machine which is sited in a local forecourt.
Damage was noted to the ATM but nothing was taken.
An investigation is underway and anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the Upper Dromore Road area in the early hours of Tuesday morning, or who may have captured dash-cam footage from the area which could assist with police enquiries, is asked to contact detectives at Organised Crime Unit in Enniskillen on 101, quoting reference number 111 09/12/25.
