Mobile phone stolen in mugging-type robbery in city

A 20-year-old man had his mobile phone stolen during a mugging-type robbery in Armagh city last week.

Police have this evening issued an appeal for information on the incident, which happened in the Windmill Hill area between 9.30pm and 10pm last Wednesday, January 14.

Sergeant Gavin McComiskey said the victim had been walking along when a man approached him and pushed him.

“The man’s phone fell to the ground and the assailant took it and ran off towards Callanbridge Park,” he explained.

“The assailant is described as being 5ft 8in tall, aged in his late 20s and was wearing a navy blue Adidas hoody, dark blue jeans and brown boots.
